About TitanTax
TitanTax finds the legal tax strategies a correctly filed return can still miss, and shows you the math and the rule behind each one.
Why it exists
Tax software makes sure your return is filed correctly. It doesn't tell you what you could have done differently during the year (the retirement contributions, the business structure, the rental rules) to legally owe less. Most people only hear about those moves from an accountant, if at all.
TitanTax puts them in front of you in plain language, while there's still time in the year to act.
Who it's for
- People with a big paycheck
- Landlords and real estate investors
- Business owners and the self-employed
And anyone with more than one of those, in the United States or Canada.
Where the numbers come from
Every strategy, limit and rule comes from public IRS and CRA sources: the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, IRS publications, and Canada's Income Tax Act. We keep them in our own data files, show the rule next to each strategy, and recheck them when the rules change. They were last checked in October 2026.
What TitanTax is not
TitanTax is educational software. It is not a CPA firm, a law firm or a financial adviser, and it doesn't file your return. It shows you options and the rules behind them so you can make a better decision with your tax professional.
It's an independent project. It isn't affiliated with the IRS, the CRA or any tax software company, and it doesn't earn commissions on anything it suggests.
